An investigation into the death of a 50-year-old female from Pinaymootang First Nation is underway.
On January 31 at 8:50 p.m., Gypsumville RCMP responded to a residence on Main Market Road in the community. The female was found outside her home in medical distress and needed immediate medical attention.
She was transported to the hospital, where she passed away at 12:45 a.m. on February 1.
An autopsy ruled out physical injuries and exposure as the cause of death.
Further test results are being conducted by the Officer of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death.
