Manitobans can see an increase in their hydro bill come August.
The Public Utilities Board (PUB) has granted Manitoba Hydro a 3.36 increase.

The typical residential customer without electric heating, using an average of 1,000 kilowatt hours per month will see an increase of $2.83.

Customers with electric heating and who use an average of 2,000 kilowatt hours per month will see a monthly increase of approximately $5.41.

Hydro says the increase will be able to help with long-term investments in electrical infrastructure, ensuring it can provide safe, reliable, and secure energy.

It will also go towards major projects like the Bipole III Reliability Project and the construction of the Keeyask Generating Station.
