A Progressive Conservative candidate in last week's Manitoba election is calling for a recount.
Sarah Langevin of the Elmwood constituency in Winnipeg has filed an injunction after losing by just 101 votes to NDP candidate Jim Maloway.
However, the Manitoba Elections Act says recounts will only take place if a winner is decided by less than 50 votes.
The PCs came out of the April 19th election with 40 out of 57 seats, giving Brian Pallister's party a majority government.
The application for a recount will be heard by a Court of Queens Bench on May 2.
