The Lt. Col. Barker VC Air Cadets are looking for adults to help out.
Captain Earl Pryce says the Cadets have long been understaffed, and he wants to get support levels where he feels they should have been all along.
Pryce says there is an opening in administration, but you could also have a more hands-on experience with the cadets.
"If a person is not comfortable with instructing, the main job is supervision. Your senior cadets do much of the instructing themselves as part of their training, so you're there more as a supervisor and guidance to help the young people."
Pryce says, for the supervision component, they are not looking for a lot of experience.
"An interest in working with young people is the main thing. The rest of it, the system will guide you and give you the information you need, but if you got an interest in working with young people ages 12-19, the system and staff that's there now will help you out."
Anyone interested in helping out with the Barker Cadets can contact the Dauphin Legion Branch. If you just want to check it out first, the Cadets are having a big meeting and training session at the Selo Ukrainia venue next weekend.
