Charges have been laid against a Dauphin man in a robbery at a southend restaurant.
Dauphin RCMP say the robbery took place the night of April 19, and confirm a hole was cut in a bathroom wall.
Constable Rob Tuff says a VLT strongbox, containing an undisclosed amount of cash, was taken. A portion of the money was recovered.
Police identified a suspect through surveillance video. 55-year-old Steward Richard Semeniuk was arrested in Swan River the following day.
Semeniuk has been charged with robbery, theft over $5,000, and mischief. He has appeared in court and has been released on a recognizance, next to appear May 10th.
