Despite losing the Dauphin riding, Liberal candidate Garry Gurke still wants to invest in the community.
During his campaign trail, anyone who came into his office and donated money was told to give it to charity or to the community instead.
Gurke says when he was away from the office two cheques were dropped off, so he donated them to two places.
"There was one cheque that was $100, which I gave to the breakfast program at Whitmore school and the other was $200 that went to the Salvation Army."
Gurke also says that he wants to donate a BBQ to the Crisis Centre in town.
