Clean-up efforts will continue on Monday after a powerful storm blew through the Parkland and Southwestern Manitoba over the weekend.
A thunderstorm ripped through the region early Sunday morning, leaving large hail in areas of Southwestern Manitoba.
Massive winds reaching as high as 85 km an hour at times in Dauphin caused trees to fall either straight to the ground or on top of power lines, causing numerous outages in the city and throughout the region.
There are reports that most of Gilbert Plains has been without power since Sunday night.
Manitoba Hydro posted on their X account that areas in and around Dauphiun, Swan River, Neepawa, Russell, Brandon, and Virden could have extended power outages well into Monday.
