A man arrested early Monday morning near Ste Rose has made an initial court appearance.
Around 12:30 that morning, an RCMP officer stopped to help a man on Highway 5 that was changing a tire.
Upon arriving the officer noticed the vehicle did not have license plates, and after questioning conducted a search when the driver could not provide registration or a bill of sale for the vehicle.
The search turned up several bags containing what was believed to be crystal meth, prescription drugs, an open bottle of liquor, and various gift cards.
A search of the suspect turned up a bag of what was believed to be cocaine, empty baggies, and multiple cell phones.
28-year-old Clint Nepinak of Dauphin faces two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and one count of obstructing a peace officer, as well as three outstanding warrants.
He will be back in court in Winnipeg on February 8th.
