A 42-year-old Dauphin man faces several charges following a traffic stop last Friday afternoon.
Dauphin RCMP says at around 3:10 pm that day, they observed a male who was known to not have a driver's license, driving a truck on Mountain Road.
After charging him with driving while disqualified, Mounties conducted a search of the truck and located a variety of drugs, including 66 grams of cocaine, 1.46 grams of meth, and numerous other drugs including
Drugs seized are suspected to be .66 grams of cocaine, 1.46 grams meth, Lorazepam, Zopiclone, Morphine, Diazepam, Temazepam, Clonazepam, Alprazolam, Gabapentin, T3, Oxycodone, and Ritalin.
That netted the suspect additional charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking, as well as weapons possession.
He was released at the scene with a promise to appear in court on January 9th.
Another Arrest was made in Dauphin also on the 17th, RCMP pulled over a red Ford F150 as the occupants were suspects from an assault earlier that day.
After the suspects were arrested, a search of the vehicle found 90 grams of cocaine, 2.15 grams meth, oxycodone, T3, Zopiclone, Gabapentin, ammunition, knives, hatchet, a machete and Canadian currency.
Both occupants, a 55-year-old man from Ochre River and a 26-year-old man from the RM of Lakeshore, are being charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, and Weapons Possession.
Both were released on scene and are to appear in Dauphin Provincial Court on January 9th, 2024.
