The head of the Manitoba Progressive Conservatives says he will cut ambulance fees in half if he is elected in April.
Brian Pallister talked about the announcement in Dauphin today, also discussing his party's plan to cut the provincial sales tax from eight percent to seven.
Pallister says that all starts with looking at how the government works inside and out.
"We're going to do a complete performance review of government. There's waste in all governments, but there's especially waste and overlap and duplication in old, tired governments. And that's what we have in Manitoba."
Pallister also expressed his support for local PC candidate Brad Michaleski.
The Liberal Party announced plans to eliminate ambulance fees for low income seniors, while the NDP is promising to double the number of QuickCare clinics in the province.
