Money is always a nice way to be recognized.

Two Assiniboine Community College Parkland students are each receiving $1,000 from the Dauphin Co-op in recognition of their academic accomplishments.

ACC and the Dauphin Co-op have partnered for the past eight years to have students built a ready-to-move home, with money made from the sale of the home going back to the students as cash rewards. The home is sold at $5,000 above the cost of materials.

The top-prize of $2,000 (which goes to the student with the highest grade) is being shared this year between Kathy Gale of Roblin and Nikki Welburn of Camperville. The remaining $3,000 is split equally amongst all students with an average of 70 per cent or higher throughout their studies.
