The McCreary Fair & Rodeo returned to the Fair Grounds in McCreary last weekend and it was very successful.

Ag Society Treasurer Debbie Johnson said that the pancake breakfasts and all the activities at the grounds were very well attended.

"We had a really good rodeo, huge attendance this year... I actually think that we had more people this time than in 2019... and there [were] a lot more contestants... involved in the rodeo," she added.

Johnson also said that the food booths and beer gardens were really busy as well.

"It was extremely hot on Saturday, so the beer gardens did well on Saturday, especially," she added.

She also said that even though the weather wasn't perfect all the time, everyone still had a good time.

"We got a little rain [overnight on Saturday] and a little sprinkle Sunday morning, but that didn't stop the cowboys. It was a little muddy... where they were performing... but they got through it. Some of them just got a little muddy. That's all," Johnson added.

According to Johnson, the silent auction and raffle also went well.
