The Dauphin and District Chamber of Commerce is holding a Lunch-N-Learn next week to get businesses prepared for the tax season.

Dauphin Chamber Executive Director Stephen Chychota says it’ll be held on Wednesday, February 17th over the noon hour, on Zoom.

“We’re going to be joined by Jordan Pernarowski and Katie Pernarowski from MNP Dauphin and going to be going over taxes and how COVID is playing a role in that and just want to prepare businesses and business owners out there with the amount of programming that the businesses may have taken advantage of, or the employees may have taken advantage of, just how it all fits and works together and what to expect.”

Chychota says the Lunch-N-Learn will touch on a whole array of things.

“COVID played a factor on any business out there in some way, shape, or form. Some are going to have a loss of revenue, some are going to have costs associated like employee wages, some are going to be maybe having to show excess revenue and they’ve actually made more than what they’ve ever done before. So, how does that all play a factor, and then the programming too.”

During the presentation, Katie will be taking an agricultural spin, looking at programs for the ag industry, how they work, and what it’ll look like, reflecting on the tax season for the business.

Chychota says this is a great opportunity for businesses to ask some questions before speaking to their accountant.

You can register by calling the chamber at (204) 622-3140 or by going to their website, it costs $10 for chamber members and $15 for non-chamber members.
