Perimeter Airlines is cutting down its passenger flight service for Dauphin to Tuesdays and Thursdays, one flight each way.
The reduced schedule comes into effect October 13.
As of October 13, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, one flight will leave Winnipeg for Dauphin at noon, and one flight will leave Dauphin for Winnipeg at 1.
Brad Collett, the accountable executive of the Lt. Col. W.G. (Billy) Barker, V.C. Airport, says he spoke with Perimeter vice-president Carlos Castillo this morning, and expressed concern over the days and times selected.
Castillo says based on various analysis, it was determined Tuesdays and Thursdays would be the best they can currently offer given the service demand.
Perimeter has also put Dauphin on a 120 day trial period, with the plan to discontinue service entirely if demand doesn't improve.
If the service doesn't become economically viable, the last flight scheduled for Dauphin will be on January 15.
