Perry is also trying to trademark the phrases ``Left Shark,'' ''Right Shark,`` ''Drunk Shark`` and ''Basking Shark.`` The examiner didn't outright reject those requests but asked for more information on the type of products with which Perry would want to use those phrases.

PASSION PIT'S MICHAEL ANGELAKOSIS UP FRONT WITH BIPOLAR DISORDER

It's no secret Michael Angelakos of Passion Pit deals with bipolar disorder, so he makes it no secret in his music. Angelakos says it's impossible to separate traumatic events from art. He says especially if he tried to prevent his disorder from coming through his music, listeners would still be able to tell. His disorder makes it tricky for him to schedule tours, though, because he can only handle so much. Angelakos says it's very easy for him to burn out, so he tries to plan concerts in a smart way. Passion Pit's new album, ``Kindred,'' is new this week.
