A GREAT BIG WORLD'S IAN AXEL RUNS INTO OPRAH A SECOND TIME

Ian Axel of A Great Big World once had the pleasure of reminding Oprah Winfrey and her pal, Gayle King, that they had met before. Axel says he was ``so stupid'' about it, though. He says Winfrey had chosen every colour except purple, so he asked if she wanted ``the colour purple.'' He says she thought it was a joke but he just wasn't thinking.

He says they have to wait five years. Liles and bandmate Eric Gunderson started from scratch and recorded a new batch of songs for an album called ``Whiskey on My Breath'' that they're releasing through Red Distribution. It comes out on Tuesday.

The kid stays in -- at least for now on ``American Idol.'' Fifteen-year-old Daniel Seavey makes it through solo night on Idol. He's the youngest contestant to make it this far in the current season. Daniel and J-Lo have something in common.

They each think the other is ``so cute.'' When Daniel told Jennifer Lopez that she was cute too, it got a big laugh from the other judges. Next week, Idol moves to the House of Blues, where the remaining contestants will perform before a live audience. But the shows will be taped and the judges will cut the field to the Top 24.
