Bieber, who was not in court Monday, was arrested and charged with dangerous driving and assault last August after a collision between a minivan and an A-T-V near Stratford. A lawyer for the 20-year-old pop star said Bieber was with his on-again, off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez and that the pair was disrupted by paparazzi. Police say the driver of the A-T-V and an occupant of the minivan ``engaged in a physical altercation.''

KANYE WEST - COMPLAINT
You might have thought Kanye West was being playful when he acted like he was about to bum-rush the stage _ again _ because an artist other than Beyonce got an award he felt she deserved. The Grammy people sure seemed to think so, with Recording Academy president Neil Portnow calling it ``a fun moment.'' But after the Grammys, West made it clear he was seriously upset that Beck was the surprise winner of the best album Grammy.
West complained to E! Entertainment after the show that Beck should have given his award to Beyonce. West declared awards like the Grammys ``keep on diminishing art'' after artists deliver what he calls ``monumental feats of music.'' He adds if the Grammys want ``real artists'' _ as he called them _ to return, they need to ``stop playing with us,'' apparently including himself in the pantheon of great artists disrespected by the Grammys. Kanye has won 21 Grammys during his career.

SAM SMITH - TOUCH, BUT DON'T LOOK?
Like Adele before him, Sam Smith is a British singer who has spun his tales of lost love into Grammy gold. And while he isn't putting his former lover out there _ Smith says he does want to thank the guy who inspired the music that helped him win four Grammys on Sunday. Smith says once he gets home he'll be seeing his ex again _ so he ``can let him touch the Grammys _ once.'' Smith isn't giving up on the idea of love. Asked what could have topped his four-Grammy night, Smith said: ``A boyfriend would be nice.'' He says he once met a boyfriend at a video shoot _ but they aren't together anymore, either.---

BARRY GIBB - NO CELL PHONE
If you want to take a selfie with Barry Gibb, better bring your own cellphone. He won't have one. Gibb says he has no use for the smartphones that most people tote around with them these days. He says he doesn't like to be flooded with information _ so he doesn't need to have stuff piped to him endlessly through a cellphone. Same goes for email. Gibb has an email address _ but doesn't send them and rarely checks his inbox. He says people tend to misunderstand each other in emails. He says he'd rather hear a voice or see a face _ so he can tell whether they're being funny or sarcastic. He says those qualities don't translate well through email.

LEDISI - DISAPPOINTED
Looks like Kanye West wasn't the only person bothered by the way things went down at the Grammys. Ledisi says she was ``a little disappointed'' she didn't get to take the stage and sing the song she did for the movie ``Selma.''
Ledisi was up for a Grammy for her rendition of the gospel tune, ``Precious Lord, Take My Hand.'' But she wasn't asked to sing it; Beyonce was. Ledisi says she understands why Beyonce was asked to do the song for the nationally televised TV show _ and has gotten over her disappointment. As for her turn in the spotlight, she says: ``My time will come when it's time.''
