Environment Canada issued the alert yesterday, with snowfall between 15 - 30 cm beginning late afternoon and overnight.
 
Manitoba 511 currently has a number of road closures across Southern Manitoba including highway 10 through Riding Mountain National Park, highway 5 and highway 16 to name a few.
 
CKDM will continue to monitor this major storm system that is said to continue throughout the province today.
 
Environment Canada advises the public to postpone travel in western Manitoba, eastern Saskatchewan and northern Manitoba until the storm passes.
 
Conditions will begin to improve tonight over the Brandon, Dauphin, Minnedosa, and Ste. Rose regions.
