Winnipeg Police say, on September 23rd at approximately 1:25 am members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the 300 block of Ellice Avenue for reports that two people had been assaulted.

A 42 year old male was located with serious upper body injuries and transported to hospital in critical condition. A 39 year old female was also injured, requiring treatment. 

Officers says, a 32 year-old male leaving the area on a bike has been charged with Assault Cause  Bodily Harm relating to the injuries sustained by the female victim.

The investigation is on-going in regards to the injured 42-year-old male victim.
