A province-wide campaign is taking place right now by the Manitoba Wildlife Federation to increase Manitoba's big game population.
Managing director Rob Olson says all groups of hunters across the province need to get together and come up with a plan to share and protect the resources.
Olson says there are ways that people in the Dauphin area can get involved in the campaign.
"Well, the best way is to join forces with the Dauphin Game and Fish. They're awesome guys and you can be a member and join up with them. You can go to Black's Cycle and Sporting Goods and be a member, and they'll connect you with the guys locally here. And so we're trying to bring everyone together and the first way is just to be a member, get involved. And they're great guys locally. That way you can be part of our overall campaign, provide-wide. That's the best way to get involved."
People can also get involved with the campaign by visiting the federation's website, mwf.mb.ca.
