A multi-phase initiative to revitalize Dauphin's downtown is underway.
Mick Lautt attended a consultation meeting with stakeholders put on by Dauphin Economic Development last week.
He says this is phase one, and it's a time of collecting ideas.
"It's a time of touching base with folks and getting a sense of what's important, and getting people to share their vision on where Dauphin's going. The focus is on downtown revitalization. It's a focus on creating a vibrant core and looking at how we can be leaders."
Lautt says this is a council-led project. He attended last week's meeting as a stakeholder, as a business-owner, a citizen, and as the education chair of the Dauphin and District Chamber of Commerce.
