Preparations are continuing for the Grandview homecoming taking place on August long weekend.
All the volunteer positions for the T.A. Burrows re-enactment have been filled according to homecoming committee member Allan Yuill.
Yuill says the weekend will also include an open house for the Grandview Community Museum on August 2.
"A lot of the equipment that's kept in storage will be brought out and be in running condition. We have a working steam engine that we hope will drive the sawmill for the cutting of the logs that are coming down the river. So it will be activities that are generated in conjunction with the growth of the town and the mill."
The main event for the weekend will be the re-enactment of the arrival of T.A. Burrows to Grandview.
That will take place on August 1.
