Manitobans can fish without a license province-wide this Saturday and Sunday, except for in national parks.
General admission fees are also being waived at all provincial parks from Friday to Sunday.
Tourism, Culture, Heritage, Sport and Consumer Protection Minister Ron Lemieux pointed out this is coming at an opportune time, with so many visitors in Manitoba for the Women's World Cup.
The Manitoba Wildlife Federation is again holding its photo contest to promote fishing as a family activity, as well.
The MWF is inviting people to shoot and send in family fishing photos until June 30.
Three winners will be randomly drawn on July 2 to receive gift packs.
