An overhead guy-wire is to blame for last night's widespread power outage in the Parkland.
Scott Powell with Manitoba Hydro says a guy-wire came down on a transmission line. Hydro was able to re-energize the line once crews removed the wire.
Powell says power was restored by 9pm.
CKDM said on Facebook last night the outage may have included the southern part of Swan River; in fact, it was the southern part of Swan Valley.
