Grandview producer, Teren Garlinski, wants to see a halt on bear baiting practices being done on Crown land.
He has experienced a loss in his herd due to bears killing calves.
Garlinski proposed a motion at a Manitoba Beef Producers meeting in Roblin and received broad support.
The motion is planned to be brought forward at the Manitoba Beef Producers AGM in February in Brandon.
