The Government of Canada has announced it will invest an extra 3.6 billion dollars into Veterans benefits.
The overhaul of the system compensates wounded ex-soldiers and was changed to address grievances among veterans. Problems had developed over time into protests and even a class action lawsuit.
The plan goes into effect on April 1, 2019.
