Dauphin’s new mayor is getting ready to chair his first general city council meeting this evening.
Allan Dowhan gives his thoughts about taking on the responsibilities.
“I have 19 years experience on council and I’ve been in the role of deputy mayor role maybe 9 years or so. I feel quite confident I know the operations of the city and hopefully, I can carry it out to the end of the term on October 2, 2018.”
Dauphin City council’s meeting takes place at 5 this afternoon.
