Winnipeg's taxi industry is lashing out over the way city hall moving to change the industry.
The city says it will allow ride hailing services such as Uber and Lyft to operate beginning March 1st and loosen rules for taxis.
Scott McFadyen, spokesman for taxi firms Unicity and Duffy's, says the city has failed to fairly consult the industry.
The new regulations will allow 120 new taxi licences and there will be no restrictions on the number of vehicles in ride hailing.
