The costs for extracurricular activities are going up at the DRCSS, but the school's fundraising committee is trying some new fundraising activities to offset those costs.
Committee member Anna Genik says they will be selling 50/50 tickets at Countryfest, and this fall they will be selling Clipper cards.
"A bunch of businesses around Dauphin give us discounts to their stores. They cost $20 and you get discounts to many different businesses. $10 of that goes to the owners of the businesses and the other $10 can stay within the school. It goes to benefit the students that are selling them to help them pay for their extracurricular activities."
Genik says all the money raised through the Clipper cards and the 50/50 tickets will go towards the extra curricular programs.
