If you need to talk about grief and loss with someone the Grief and Loss Support Group is holding their first meeting next week.
Eleanor Snitka, Outreach Worker for the Parkland Region of Mood Disorders Association of Manitoba, talks about how the association is creating an atmosphere where you can speak about your grief in a safe space.
“It’s a support group that people have been requesting for people who have been dealing with grief, whether it’s loss of someone due to death, it might be grieving because of many kinds of losses. People who have lost their jobs, people who have had to move away, people who have become ill and lost their health, just a whole bunch of different kind of losses that we experience. So it’s not just because of death, but certainly that is a big one.”
The first meeting is held on November 2nd at 1:30 at the Dauphin Senior’s Centre.
