Manitoba Infrastructure's Hydrologic Forecasting Centre reports that forecast high winds developing from the west in the early hours of tomorrow have resulted in a high to severe wind-effect warning for the South Basin of Lake Winnipeg, the south basin of Lake Manitoba and Dauphin Lake.
Strong north winds are forecast starting early tomorrow and into the early hours of Friday.
Wind speed and wave action could raise levels by as much as seven feet or more.
Lake Winnipegosis could also see a rise in water levels.
Property owners are advised to take precautions.
