A major wind warning has been issued by Environment Canada with wind gusts up to 90 km/h.
An intense low-pressure system is forecast to track through the Parkland over the next few days mainly on Wednesday. The weather statement is in effect for Gilbert Plains, Grandview, Mossey River Municipality including Winnipegosis, Ethelbert, Roblin, Russell- Binscarth, and the RM of Dauphin.
There is the possibility of damage to buildings, such as to shingles and windows, and the winds may toss loose objects and cause tree branches to break.
Uncertainty still exists in the exact track and intensity of the low-pressure system.
