The City of Dauphin’s Fall Clean-up Campaign is set to begin next week.

On Tuesday city crews will progress in reverse through the 4-day cycle. Bill Brenner, City of Dauphin Director of Public Works, gives more details about the program and what city crews are picking up.

“The fall clean-up is to help residents get rid of yard waste such as leaves, branches, grass, items from their garden. We started the yard waste program this year, the yard waste bun program, but we know in the spring and fall there is a significant amount more that people have in their yard to get rid of, so we run a fall and spring cleanup. The fall clean-up is starting this Tuesday so we will pick up garden waste, leaves, shrubs, tree branches less than 6 inches in diameter and no longer than 8 feet.”

Composting materials can be dropped off anytime at the City Waste Disposal Site northwest of Dauphin. Residences who do not have a back lane can place their items on the boulevard near the curb. For more info call 622-3202.
