The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation has high expectations for Saturday's Walk to cure Diabetes happening at Credit Union Place.

Vicki Zachanowich, prairie regional manager for the JDRF says they're hoping to have between 100 and 150 people taking part.

Zachanowich says when it comes to the fundraising part of the event, Dauphin has history of surpassing expectations.

"Last year Dauphin raised $23,000. They were even higher than the expectation and the goal, so we're hoping for that as well again this year. There's really great community support and support from the schools as well."

Registration for the walk takes place at 10:30 with the walk beginning at 11:00am.
