The Gilbert Plains 2015 budget is in the books.
Council passed the second and third reading of the budget at last night's council meeting.
A vocal crowd at a public hearing earlier this month argued they didn't have enough time to digest the budget and ask questions. Council recommended taking concerns to the municipal office over the next couple weeks, but Reeve Blake Price says no one did.
"We left that opportunity open, so they could come to the office and express their concerns, but nobody did follow up on that. So, yeah. I guess it was fairly well accepted."
The urban mill rate in Gilbert Plains for 2015 is 29.9. The rural is 26.508.
