Rural residents of Gilbert Plains are getting another recycling drop-off location.
A new recycling depot is expected to open some time in June at the old water treatment plant.
Reeve Blake Price says the depot bears virtually no cost to the municipality.
Gilbert Plains has a contract with Parkland Recycling for pick-up from the depot.
CAO Susan Boyachek says they are trying to make the services available at a cost neutral financial perspective and the more that is recycled offsets the costs of operation.
