The Manitoba Wildlife Federation wants the provincial government to clarify a rule in regards to spotlight or nightlight hunting.
Spotlighting is the practice of hunting primarily big game at night using bright lights.
The Manitoba government says treaty hunters may not discharge a rifle or shotgun at night where it is dangerous to do so.
Fred Tait, a director at the Manitoba Wildlife Federation, says they want the province to identify on maps where it is considered safe.
The province has not yet responded to CKDM on this issue.
