Civic address signs are going up in the RM of Dauphin over the next several months.
Installation began today.
Reeve Dennis Forbes says it will make locating rural residents far easier.
"For emergency purposes, it will be a huge benefit, but it's civic addressing, so if you're travelling in from afar and wish to find a friend or family member that you haven't visited in a while, we will soon be able to locate using electronics."
Forbes says the installer has a tight schedule and is asking residents to keep chit-chat to a minimum.
Forbes also says don't be alarmed if you see signs on your neighbours' property but not your own. The installer is working on a grid system and he will cover the whole municipality.
