The City of Dauphin is getting into the spring cleaning spirit.
The annual Spring Clean-Up campaign begins on May 19, with city crews collecting accumulated garden waste, grass clippings, leaves, tree branches and shrubs.
Public Works director Bill Brenner says residents can help crews with the campaign by having all their items piled in the back lanes where crews can access them.
"Pile all this material loose in an area where we can get at it with our big equipment because we do go with some large loaders and trucks to get it. Place where we can get at it easily, and make sure that it is only that stuff. If there is any other kind of garbage in there, we will not pick it up. Again it's accumulated garden waste, grass clippings, leaves, tree branches and anything else and we will just go by."
Brenner says people can also drop off their materials at the city waste disposal site.
