It was a packed house at a send off for a longtime Dauphin doctor.
A retirement event was held for Dr. Allan Lysack at Dauphin's Community Health Services Building yesterday.
Operating room CRN Simone Greening was one of many speakers at the event. She gave an emotional speech on behalf of the nursing staff.
"He just means so much to everybody... I'm just proud of him, proud that we know him," she told CKDM afterwards.
Several dignitaries spoke at the event. The City of Dauphin presented Dr. Lysack with a proclamation. MLA Brad Michaleski said growing up Dr. Lysack was the "farmer doctor."
