Manitoba Premier Greg Selinger has made a few changes to his cabinet.
Steve Ashton, one of Selinger's opponents in the NDP leadership battle, is the new Infrastructure and Transportation minister, a portfolio previously held by Swan River MLA and Agriculture, Food, and Rural Initiatives minister Ron Kostyshyn.
Other moves include James Allum to education minister, Kerri Irvin-Ross to deputy premier and Gord MacKintosh to justice minister. Drew Caldwell is now the minister responsible for Winnipeg, on top of his role as minister of municipal government. New additions include Thomas Nevakshonoff, who is now minister of conservation and water stewardship and Mohinder Saran, who is now minister of housing and community development.
This continues a busy week for the provincial government, which is set to release their budget tomorrow.
