Both the Mountain View School Division and Mountain View Teachers Association feel confident that they can come to a new collective agreement.
Bargaining meetings between the two sides continued yesterday, with two more meetings currently scheduled for May.
MVTA president Kathy Bellemare says the talks so far have been smooth.
"We have a really good relationship with the school division when it comes to bargaining. When you read about what's happening in other provinces, I always feel so lucky because our situation ins't like that in Manitoba, and it's certainly not like that in our school division."
MVSD CEO Donna Davidson says they're hopeful to reach an agreement prior to the current deal expiring on June 30.
