A Dauphin pharmacist is the most recent recipient of an award that recognizes leadership, a commitment to community service, and volunteerism.
Barret Procyshyn of the Dauphin Clinic Pharmacy was given the Bowl of Hygeia at the 2015 MSP Manitoba Pharmacy Conference this month.
He says he and his wife had a funny moment on the awards night when his accomplishments were being read out.
"My wife said, 'I thought they were talking about somebody else. I didn't realize you did all that.' But they kind of went back-- right, way back to my high school years and listed off my involvements in Dauphin and Winnipegosis and my Parkland involvements like Parkland Community Futures. So it was really great to be recognized for all that and it just makes you want to do more and keep giving back."
Procyshyn says it was a special evening and its an honour to receive such a prestigious award.
