The Dauphin Friendship Centre's executive director will be touching on a few topics about Aboriginal business when he speaks at the next Dauphin and District Chamber of Commerce breakfast series.

Jeremy Smith says part of his presentation will be about highlighting the contributions of Aboriginal peoples and businesses in our area.

"One third of the South Parkland population is Aboriginal and we have some changing demographics which I'd like to touch upon in my presentation. We see an increasing number of Aboriginal people in our school system and at the college and I want to touch on what can businesses do to capitalize on a growing resource in our area."

Smith says he will also discuss the potential for people trying to form an Aboriginal-based business in Dauphin and the potential for linking in with local Aboriginal businesses.

The next breakfast series meeting is April 30 and tickets are available to the general public as well Chamber members.

RSVP before 3pm on Monday.
