Rural and northern health regions in Manitoba are being capped at 12 board members this time around.
Prairie Mountain Health currently has 14, but the provincial government is expected to announce new boards in the near future.
CEO Penny Gilson doesn't think the lower cap will hurt Prairie Mountain Health.
"The provinicial government is looking for, you know, certain skills and competencies that they want in board of directors members, so I think it will be fine. It's just (going) to depend on how many people submitted their names to potentially be appointed."
Rural and northern health regions had previously had a maximum of 15 board members.
