A woman is in hospital with serious injuries due to a vehicle collision in Manitoba.
RCMP are investigating a single-vehicle collision on Roblin Boulevard in the RM of Headingley, near Winnipeg.
Patrolling officers came across a vehicle in a ditch around 4:15 Saturday morning. The 24-year-old male driver had already exited the vehicle when officers arrived, but the 25-year-old female passenger was trapped and had to be extricated.
Initial investigation shows the vehicle hit a driveway approach and flipped into the ditch, hitting a tree and a light pole. Police say alcohol is believed to be a factor, and both occupants were wearing seatbelts.
