The Manitoba Government has proclaimed October as Sustainability Month.
Sustainable Development Minister Cathy Cox said today, "Sustainable development can help address local and global challenges including climate change, poverty and health issues."
The Manitoba Government says, Sustainability Month is an ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and action on climate change in the province.
The Provincial government says the month kicked off with Sustainability Night 20X20 and will continue with other events.
Some of these events include planting trees, commitments to further reduce waste and the expansion of more recycling opportunities in Manitoba.
