Mexican Delegation Makes Economic Trip to Neepawa
Neepawa is bolstering its connection with a city in Mexico.
Yesterday, delegates from Mexcio visited the HyLife plant in Neepawa to discuss future economic opportunities with the company and the town.
Dauphin-Swan River-Neepawa MP Robert Sopuck says there's a terrific market for HyLife pork in Mexico.
"HyLife has an operation in Salvatierra, and so there's a very strong connection now between Neepawa and this community in Mexico. So this is not just theoretical anymore, this is a very real, alive trade relationship that exists in Manitoba pork with Mexico."
The Mexican delegation was hosted by the World Trade Centre in Winnipeg.
