Four RCMP officers dedicated to traffic and criminal interception are now operating in The Pas and the surrounding communities.
RCMP launched The Pas Traffic Services at an event today but the unit has been active on roadways since April 1.
According to RCMP, the unit will police anything accessible by road in the North, focusing on road safety and drug interdiction.
In terms of road safety, RCMP say the officers will focus on enforcement, education, and prevention.
