Man Dies in Hospital After Found Unresponsive in Birds Hill Waters
RCMP confirm that man found unresponsive in water at Birds Hill Provincial Park near Winnipeg has died.
Police say the 22-year-old was found at 4:45 pm yesterday and was transported to a Winnipeg hospital.
Beach safety officers began the search at around 3 pm.
One person who was at the beach says 200 people volunteered to make a human chain in the water to help with the search.

Brandon Lawyer Calls for Better Record Keeping After String of Mistaken Arrests
A legal aid lawyer in Brandon says authorities need to do a better job of making sure records are current and correct after the fourth mistaken arrest in about three weeks.
Ryan Fawcett says they're innocent people who are ending up in jail because of something a computer says.
The latest case happened August 12th when a man was arrested under the mistaken belief he was violating a bail order by drinking alcohol.
It turns out the bail order related to an assault charge out of Winnipeg which had been dropped last year.

Mounties in Saskatchewan are concerned that some social media comments could be criminal in the wake of a fatal shooting of an aboriginal man.
Police have issued a news release saying they are monitoring the situation related to events in the area of Biggar.
Fifty-four-year-old Gerald Stanley is accused of second-degree murder of 22-year-old Coulton Boushie.
Stanley was granted bail at 10 thousand dollars, which has stirred up racial tensions.

While the band did not definitively say that their now-concluded "Man Machine Poem'' tour would be their last, the recent revelation that Downie is battling terminal brain cancer gave the rockers' hometown concert last night an aura both celebratory and sombre.
Downie exuded manic energy throughout the nearly three-hour-long, 30-song event last night. Downie said they never play third encores, right before playing one.
